This site is a digital portfolio for Anisa Magallanes, also known as Bernadette O'Leary and Bernadette Malcolm. In addition to her freelance work, Magallanes has written for such publications as e-Ticker News of Claremont, a newspaper out of Claremont, NH with feedback from over 40 countries, and Trail Miller Co., LLC, with multiple newspapers published in Oklahoma.

Magallanes is an author, journalist, copy/content writer, and editor of 11 years, as well as an artist of more than 20 years who uses photography to create a wide array of artwork. Additionally, Magallanes has experience in Marketing and Communications.

A mother of two, she lives her life under the mantras #LoveOthersWell and #ServingGodByServingOthers. She works to spread awareness of and fight domestic violence, child abuse, and human trafficking.

When authoring books and short stories, she works her social justice efforts into each story. When not working on her books, she focuses her journalistic works on these same topics along with covering the Arts & Entertainment industry, veteran's affairs, and more.

Magallanes' artwork started at a young age with sketches and evolved into photography. Today, she uses art to inspire and spread her personal passions of faith and ending abuse. A self-proclaimed "Jacqueline of all Trades," her work that spans more than two decades and uses multiple pseudonyms has been found online and in print. Starting January of 2022, her work can be found on Amazon and Simily.co.
